I currently own a PC consisting of-

Pentium dual core e6600 3.06ghz

3 gb ram ddr2-800

GTX 660ti graphics card

Intel stock cooler

Corsair cx550 power supply

Seagate barracuda 500gb 

And a cheap antec case

My friend is ready to sell one of his 980ti to me for $150. Is upgrading to that gpu worth it? I mostly play Cs go, overwatch nd sometimes Minecraft.

That's a great price for that card. Go for it.

I think you have bigger fish to fry. That's a really good deal for a much faster GPU, but you won't be able to take advantage of it with that CPU. If you want to start a full system upgrade with the GPU then go for it, just know it won't be everything it can be until you upgrade the rest.

I have a spare z97 motherboard from my brothers old rig....but it's on board sound is dead....but I can manage to get a decent CPU d a sound card nd make it work.

Others are right though, the rest of your system is going to bottleneck huge.
