Which programs to run on Windows Tablet

Hey everyone, so I just bought a ASUS 10.1” Transformer Mini T102HA-D4-GR tablet and it comes with windows 10, my dilemma is if I should run my programs as a desktop .exe (download and install full version) or if I should use apps from the Windows Store since it's more of a "mobile" device? I've seen it get 100% CPU and Memory when running YouTube on Chrome, so I don't know if I should download the YouTube app instead? Thank for the advice!
