Motherboard style?

I want to know what style my motherboard is so I can reuse my case for a build it's a 2012 HP Compaq 6005 pro small form factor computer and since there's no markings I've measured it and it looks around 7x8 inches what style does that sound like?

HP has a tendency for using proprietary form factors. Seems to be the case with this motherboard too. 

 

No standard size board will fit directly into that case.

As everyone else has mentioned, that board form factor is proprietary and you're not going to be able to just install an off the shelf board in there. Also, the PSU form factor and connections are also proprietary so practically zero options there either.

I have a HP Z220 SFF looking pretty similar to your machine, it uses the strangest layout and connectors imaginable, even fan headers are looking strange, so I am very sure we are both in the same boat here and no way of changing much out. I build a home server around mine, as the only thing I could add was hard drives (sata and power are standard molex plugs)

Silverstone makes some SFF cases that would be a lot better than that HP and they're pretty cheap. Those HP's have some pretty low spec PSU's, too. You can save a lot of headache by switching cases and have better cooling as well. My $.02

thanks is there any chance of using the PSU for a new motherboard? (if it won't fit in a standard slot I could probably jerry rig something)
