Looking for a Cheapish Laptop for solidworks for a student [UK]

Ryan_1998

HI I am currently in need of a laptop that can handle solid works without issues.I have started a product design undergraduate degree therefore it requires to be able to run and render in solid works ect. I need it so I can take it to uni and back as well as using it to part time game on when I go home for the weekend leaving my pc at my accommodation halls. Budget around £700-900 not expecting to be able to do too much serious gaming on it.

What I was currently looking at-

Avoid MSI GL and GP series, very mediocre. HP Omen is good but not the best. Also take a look on options like Acer Nitro 5, Acer VX15, Clevo N/W/P series (there are many), Lenovo Y520, Dell 7567/7577.

Is portability important to you?

It's overpriced IMO. You can get better specs and similar same build quality for about the same price
