Hello LTT Community,

I own a OnePlus 5t, and I am loving it so far. Just a quick inquiry from you guys on what you have learned from your experience. For those that do not know, OnePlus has a referral programs where, if someone uses your link, they get $20 off towards accessories and you get 100 referral points. With these points, you can reedeem them in chunks for ~$10/ 100 points. Long story short, I have 200 points and can redeem them for $20 at the OnePlus Store. I was looking at the sandstone case, the screen protector, and the silicone case.  I also have a cheap $5 case from Amazon that is doing the trick right now, just a hunk of plastic, so I am open to the upgrade. Also, another point I was wondering was if a screen protector is really worth $20??

Just wondering if anyone has experience with any of these products and I'd appreciate any and all input.

If you can wait a few days, I'll let you know how the flip cover is. It's currently in the mail along with my OnePlus 5T and should arrive by Sunday... aka by next Monday, so I'll bookmark this thread and try to remember to update you with my first impressions. I was really tempted to order both the Sandstone case and flip cover, but knowing me I'll only ever use the flip cover so alas I just ordered that.

My Screen protector lasted less than a year before it started cracking on my OnePlus 3t.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

And that was an additional screen protector bought from OnePlus and not the one that shipped with the phone? Interesting...

I bought the pack with the case and screen protector. The screen proctor was not that great. The case was OK ish. No worth it in my opinion.

Gotchya, especially when Amazon has screen protectors for ~$7. Thanks for the input!

Hey there - took me forever to get back to you as I've been busy with work, but here are a couple photos of my OP5T with the flip cover. I've had it for about 3 weeks now, and so far love the minimalist look and feel of the cover.

Even with the cover it's still super thin feeling (phone manufacturers, make a friggin' 1CM thick phone with an 8000mah battery already, PLEASE) and seems to be well stitched around the outside edge. There is a slot for your payment card, which is handy since Google Pay is not supported at many banks in Canada because despite us having EMV / Chip & Pin since 2008, our banks are still antiquated and insecure as can be. Instead though, I've put a couple of business cards into that slot, as well as one between the back of the case and phone, because I don't like the idea of my payment cards walking off with my phone should some dishonest human being swipe it from me one day.

The only thing I don't like is that when you fold the cover over it blocks the camera, and compared to my Note 3 flip cover from Tech21.com it doesn't allow the phone to standup on its' own. I'm keeping an eye out for both a waterproof Lifeproof or Otterbox case, as well as a Tech21 case should they ever decide to make one.

No worries here for the time, thanks for getting back to me! I agree it does look very sleek and professional. I also like how it looks with your lava red version of the phone. It definitely will make it harder to choose thanks to you!
