558s vs m50s

so im looking for a new pair of headphones and am wondering which of these is better in build quality and sound quality

For gaming the 558s are unrivaled by all except the AD-700x. The quality is better in the 558s than both of those headphones even still.

m50's are better as an all around headphones, more portable (if that matters to you), they look better (if that matters)
and from what ive heard they have better bass than the 558's

and btw the 558's are open styled and the m50's are closed so that makes a diffrerence.

if you want closed then ATH M50, also another option is the custom one pro's

Which would be louder?  Hmm..  Well I have the HD 558s and I can tell you that if it turn them up to ~50% or more I can hear them pretty clear about 20ft away in the kitchen.  If you want something to listen to music in public, get the M50s.  The 558s are open so they leak tons of sound, but they do give a more natural sound as a trade off.
