I've wanted an r710 for a while now, seems like theres a lot of shenanigans i could get into with one. Do you guys think this is a good deal for one considering it includes ram and whatnot? let me know. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-PowerEdge-R710-Virtualization-Server-8-Core-48GB-4x300GB-15K-1-2TB-PERC6i-/171307537270

Thats not a great deal. The 6i isn't very good and do you really need those old sas drives. Id get this one.https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-PowerEdge-R710-2-5-Server-GEN-II-2x-2-40GHz-12-CORES-16GB-2-Trays/183024914037?hash=item2a9d228e75:g:GT8AAOSwa3BaOnzw

Then you can get 72gb of ram for about 200 and get a h200 or h700 if you want storage onboard. Or just use network storage.

You think that server would be able to run multiple VM's?
