Effective colour calibration on dual-monitors

Hey guys,

I'm having a huge amount of trouble calibrating the colour on my two monitors to be as identical as possible.

I have a Samsung 29" UQHD and an ASUS VG278HR 27" 144Hz monitor. I have tried to calibrate both monitors through Nvidia but have so far been unsuccessful, are there any programs or applications that can be used for effective colour calibration or is it all done via monitor + computer settings?

They will never match perfectly but you can get it somewhat reasonable by eye, the only option is to use a color calibration device on both monitor to closely match them. It will not be perfect however since they are two different panels.
