Hello everyone

i wanted to ask...i am about to upgrade my system with a new GPU but i am in a big dilemma about which one of the two ( will mention them below ) to buy. My system is full compatible with each one and the price in my country for both is exactly the same.

Lets see the first one is the MSI GTX 770 Lightning edition 2GB GDDR5...it is a very cool and stunning card as i have seen in Linus video unboxing. It has a back-plate, MSI`s GPU reactor and all the high class military components.
On the other hand I've got the Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce edition 4GB GDDR5.

My problem is that...with the same amount of money the one card offers me 2GB of GDDR5 memory( plus all the MSI`s cool technology ) and the other 4GB and i dont know which one of these two should i buy. ( I am a 1080p guy and will surely go to overclock whichever of these two badboys i get)Sadly i cant go for a 780 due to the price and i wouldnt want to go to a earlier version of a 770 because they do not have GPU boost 2.0.

what do you think i should do ?

My MSI 770 doesn't OC for shit but then again the Gigabyte's voltage is locked so up to you. I'd personally say the gigabyte but why 4GB VRAM? Get 2GB VRAM as I'm sure someone will explain.

Neither. ASUS DCUii 770 (2GB or 4GB, whichever is cheaper), and yes. I just pulled a fanboy.

4GB isnt fully useable due to the 256-Bit bus. The golden rule of bus: 128-Bit per gigabyte.

I have a Gigabyte card, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it. Mine overclocks to 1350 Core, 7400 Memory. Also, it's very quiet and cool.

yeah i read about that rule after i had posted this :P thanks everyone for the fast response by the way ;)

the only thing that keeps me away from gigabytes card is that msi seems to have worked much more on their card...so do you think msi gtx770 lightning edition 2GB would worth the money ?

Not only a Gigabyte, but a GTX 770 WF3. The exact model he wants (minus 2GB).
