Hi, I am going to build a PC soon with existing case of Corsair 400C. I am going to make it a black and white theme. However, due to some reason, I can get Zotac GTX 1080 AMP with a lower price therefore I decided to take it as my new GPU. In my opinion, the yellow-black backplate on Zotac GTX 1080AMP cannot match my theme so I will make a custom backplate with Acryli. Can I just stack the Acryli backplate on top of the prebuilt backplate that originally come with the Zotac GPU? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. The reason  is that it seems like the Zotac backplate is not easy to be taken off. I saw this video at 6.58 and he just stack backplate on the GPU and it seems fine to me.

i'm confused , he quite clearly painted them green.

You can if you want just make sure there is enough clerance and doesn't interfere with other cards or heatsinks on the motherboard. It's not difficult if you want to take off the original plate and paint it.
