Ram Speed for games?

so umm y question is for ddr4 ram. what's the best ram speed. one should get.

example

8gb. minimum for games 

12. being safe.

16 over kill

 

My Question is. for  Speed

there's  these Ram. speed my question is. Which one would be best. for games. 2400? i don't wanna overkill it. Because i have a Budget i only want the Safe option. and the minimum for games.

From your previous post it looks like you plan to get the R5 1600. If going Ryzen you will want to get the fastest RAM you can.

Keep in mind that you'll be losing a lot of performance with lower speed RAM in CPU intensive games and apps, and even more so if you go for single channel.
