I am new to linux,and i want to discover it so i installed Ubuntu 16.04 as a linux distro and it's running good.My issue is before ubuntu loads i get a black and white interface with some commands.and the same applies when shutting down.

I have a Hp probook 450 G1 btw with:

4gigs of ram

Intel i5-4200M 2.50GHZ

and a internal graphics card:Intel HD GRAPHICS 4600

hope Linux's community has a fix

How long does it stay there? It sounds like the command shell, it shouldn't be there long. It's a normal thing for Linux operating systems.

i believe you can hide that behind a splash image. My laptop usually boots and shutdowns behind the mint logo
