G-Sync Isn't Working

I have a Dell S2716DG with a DisplayPort connection to a GTX 980 running on 390.65 drivers. I have G-Sync set to Windowed and Fullscreen because I play Overwatch in Windowed Borderless. Putting G-Sync into Fullscreen only and Overwatch into fullscreen only makes more and more noticeable tearing. Any help?

I'm not sure of all the technical points of g-sync (and haven't bothered to research more thoroughly). I was under the assumption that it should work without v-sync but it doesn't seem to. I expect enabling v-sync will solve your problem.
