Disable accelerometer on HP x360?

I have an HP Pavilion x360 (15 inch version) and whenever you tilt the laptop sideways, regardless of the position that the screen is in, it disables the trackpad and keyboard. This gets really annoying when I'm in bed or something and I want to have the laptop sitting sideways. I'm not someone who actually uses a 15" convertible laptop as a tablet(?) so I don't need the tilt function. Is there any way to get rid of it? I've tried disabling devices in device manager that seem similar or related to the tilt sensor but haven't gotten any success.
