Best RGB Case Fans

Jenjar

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has dealt with RGB fans of any sort, and if anyone could recommend a certain brand or fan. I have been looking at the corsair LL series 120mm fans, but I am not sure on how hard they are to hookup (I already have a prebuilt build) that I would be using them in.

I also looked at NZXT fans, but it seems like the LL Series ones have better customization and would not cost as much by the time you add the Hue + etc..

Thanks.

Both of those options require their own control system either with the HUE+ for Corsair Link via their lighting node pro which comes in three pack and dual pack kits.

Yeah, The Corsair ones have been attracting me because they come with the lighting node pro already, and they are on sale on Amazon Canada for $125 CAD, down from the $150 CAD MSRP. The Hue+ is around $55 CAD plus the $33 CAD for each fan, and I need four of them.

Never saw them before, They look quite good and that is a good feature, might look into them more. I have the IN WIN 303 Case, and so far with my experience with this case (Although a prebuilt) has been quite good build quality wise.

I have the lighting node pro and 6 Corsair hd, but apart from less led they should be pretty much the same. The setup is not difficult but keep in mind there will lots of wires around. Each fan has 2 wires, one classic and one for the led. In order to use the light effect you have to connect the led wires to a controller, which then has to be connected to the lighting node pro. The lighting node pro also requires a usb cable (to control the lighting from the pc) and a sata power. If you don't have the lighting node pro you can only choose between a few effects from a manual controller, not from the pc (at least for the hd series).

So difficult no, but it requires some space and cable management.

Also each fan controller supports up to 6 fans, and the lighting node can be connected max to 2 of these controllers.

Apart from this, the lighting effects are pretty good!

Ps in order to control the brightness or turn off the leds you need the lighting node pro

Latest build: MyPC Liquid Time
