Disable downloading in Server 2012 R2 Essentials

im trying to stream a video from my sever 2012 with anywhere access to a client computer. i got it running and it works,but sometimes (i guess when my internet slows down) the stream doesnt start at all. instead it goes to download the entire video. i dont want it to do this and i would like to know if theres any way of disabling downloading and make it to try streaming. i havent spotted any option to do this on the dashboard. i have set the stream quality to low to hopefully stream it smoothly but it doesnt seem to be doing it.would appreciate if someone could help me figure out this. thanks

What is the purpose of streaming the video?

 

I would suggest you look at alternative solutions, such as broadcasting a stream via VLC or other video players, or having the stream "on demand" (Netflix style) via something like Plex.
