Imo, I'd look at MSI

They have decently cheaper laptops that would fit those needs..

Wouldnt go lower than a 1050ti though. If you have to, at least try for a 4gb 1050

whats a good laptop for gaming in games like pubg, bioshock, fortnite, and dbz on medium to high settings with a cosistenet fps of 60-100 for under $800?

If he can wait just a bit (or hunt a little more), try to get an 8th gen Intel processor, the 8250U has four physical cores (and is hyperthreaded) and can help framerates (all 7th gen, apart from high-end ones like the 7700HQ, will have 2 cores). Or wait for whatever Ryzen mobile thingy comes out on the AMD side. In terms of GPU, follow the advice of @Slottr. Absolutely nothing lower than a 4GB 1050. For the games selected, it will perform decently. PUBG is the odd-man out and that will have to be turned WAY down to achieve playable (30-60 FPS) framerates. Really try for a 1050ti if possible.

Spoiler

Intel Core i7 8700k | be quiet! Dark Rock 4 | Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming-ITX/ac | 32 GB G.Skill TridentZ | 256 GB Intel® SSD 600p Series | ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti Mini | Fractal Design Node 304 | Cooler Master V750 | Asus MG279Q | Asus VC279 | Logitech G710+ | Corsair M65 Pro RGB
