So I am considering selling my GPU (gtx 1060 6gb) since the prices are so high, so that when they fall again I would be able to afford a 1080ti. But my problem is I don't want to be GPUless for a long long time, so when would GPU prices fall again?

GPU prices will fall in .... let me check my crystal ball here..... 137 weeks and 3 days. I'm sorry my crystal ball doesn't tell me exact times.

Ok so let me correct that, when can you infer that the GPU prices will fall

you forgot the ritual. it requires one crappy cpu heatsink, one gaming mouse, two sticks of ram  an athlon x4 860k, and a keyboard.

Don't forget the 4 Pentium 4 CPUs. Heat makes it work.

When GPU mining is not profitable anymore for the majority of people. That is the best and most honest answer you will get out of anyone. We simply don't know, you likely know about as much as us. Point being that GPU prices are always high when it is very profitable to mine.

You're right I did, explains the crack in the crystal ball that showed up.

you need a source of fire.

The Pentium 4 will take care of that just fine, don't worry.

Absolutely no idea, unfortunately. Crypto is super duper voltatile. Who knows, maybe Ethereum could crash tomorrow? Afterall, some coins (especially bitcoin) haven't been doing well lately. Or maybe it's gonna go back up, and we won't see it go to normal until March. Or April. Who knows.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
