Cheap cases

Go to solution Solved by atxcyclist,

I'm using a Raidmax Monster II for my main system, and it's going to be under the price point I'm sure. It has front 2xUSB 3.0, audio, space for 5 140mm fans and a front 360mm radiator if you don't use any 5.25" drives., fully shrouded power supply basement, and some acceptable drive mounting and cable management.

I built my brother a system in a Thermaltake F31, and it is priced similarly, but is a bit different. It has front USB 2.0 and 3.0, 2 ports of each, and it has sound deadening material on most of the panels. It doesn't have a power supply basement though, so cable management is a little more difficult to clean up. It is probably built better than the Raidmax.

Either one of those cases would probably be a solid budget option, and I think the Thermaltake does come in a version with no side panel at all, even though both cases have lexan windows.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, many of the Optiplex cases use BTX or non-standard motherboard sizes. I know several of the Vostro cases are standard mATX, but I haven't seen any ATX cases that I can remember.

I am looking for a atx for under $100 CAD.

somethings I want

     -No glass panel

     -Metal

If you know what to look for and don't care about aesthetics, you can get absolute bargains on some used stuff plattforms.

Like here in Germany where you can get a really awesome case for 25€ at the door - FSC Celsius 460. Its a bit ugly and not in best condition but hey, for that price??

@JDE

Yeah but those with BTX are old, very old. Like 2013 and before, after Sandy Bridge the BTX form factor died and wasn't used no more.
