The most basic python syntax error

Im really sorry to be wasting your superior coding skills,

 

Im just starting out, and i have been yelling at my laptop for 10 minutes trying to figure out

WHY ON EARTH THIS IS AN INVALID SYNTAX!!!

Welp, I dunno about Python formatting, just some general code stuff that stays the same between languages.

Do you know how to fix this?

On face value it's correct (after the == fix)

But python is indent sensitive so I would check the indenting isn't a mix of spaces and tabs.

Your answer looks correct, although I haven't worked with Python for a decade or so. From what I recall, that should work.

Once you fix the == error the code should be valid.

My guess is it's related to the app your using. Probably some silly end of line or indent or something that shouldn't be happening.

If you retype the whole page I reckon it would probably work.

 

Point being you gotta stop looking for syntax error.

Does your IDE/Editor auto save before executing the code? If not then you may need to manually save it.

Don't know what else could be the issue besides if the file is saved or your IDE/Editor doing weird stuff
