Any suggestions?

Jupiter76

Hi.

So, I've been thinking to get a new CPU cooler, the H45 from Corsair does not seem to work as well as I thought with my 4.8GHz overclock and is unusually loud, especially when loading in stuff.

Was wondering if there is any good aircoolers that can fit well even when using the tall Corsair RGB Vengeance Ram, without putting them to the further right side of the motherboard RAM slots.

I like the Cryorig H7, 30 dollars and it doesn't go near the RAM.

Coolermaster Hyper 212 is a highly recommended one by many. Noctua DH-15 is another one. Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 is another

I might test Push/Pull first with my current budget cooler to see if that changes anything but if not, might aim for one of the mentioned air coolers above.

Unless it's $10 I recommend against it, it's ancient/inefficient and is now equal 90mm coolers like the m9i/m9a

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

I got spare fans already and will try it later tonight. And waiting for upcoming air coolers aswell. The new Corsair AIO caught my interest but need a new PSU aswell sadly.

It might be old, but you can't really call it inefficient either. It still beats CMs newer coolers in price/performance. M9i/a comes close in performance. But those are only 90mm's that have been that good.

Well, noctuas offering beats both handily as well.  Maybe I should say that it's not inneficient, just not keeping up.

Noctua is also high priced in comparison. They can't be compared in same league. In budget coolers 212 is still good pick, but only if its priced well vs competition. CM coolers are also widely available compared to Cryorig for example.

That's true, getting cryorig in Canada was impossible until mid 2017

What are your specs and load temps? You might just have an overly aggressive fan curve.

Load temps?

What's your core voltage set to?

Was suggested to use this program instead of AI SUITE and Corsair Link as those two told me different stats of my system.

Your temps seem fine. If the fan is too loud, you could just replace it with a quieter one.

Some good options include:

Gonna replace the original H45 Fan with a Noctua fan that I got sometime ago before. Should work  better that way, hopefully!
