Can anyone suggest me a PC build for getting as good performance as xbox one X?

I am planning to use this build to game on 4K and expecting a price slightly larger than xbox one x but with windows OS.

  • Don't count the price of windows as I am provided a free version of windows by my college.
  • Expecting CPU to be around i5 or ryzen 5.
  • No size limitation.
  • Dual hard-disk setup. 1TB HDD + 128 GB ssd

P.S. Linus, why don't you have an official Linus tech tips app? one where we can login using Facebook credentials without any fear.

State your budget and types of games you play (esport titles or AAA games etc)

Also maybe wait a bit for GPU prices to drop

budget is within prices of xbox oneX so 500-700$.

But a careful Os might use console for a daily drive PC easily. Current xbox can do a lot, only keyboard and mouse missing

Sorry, but budget and expected gaming performance comparable to an XBox One X as outlined in your opening post do not fit together.

Seriously, a 1050ti won't get you anywhere the XBox One X in regards of 4k Gaming performance. The XBox uses a modified RX580 so that's what you have to be aiming for at least. A 1070 would be an alternative (for 1080p a 1060 6GB would be a budget-friendly choice, but it's not really any good for 4K gaming). But that's about 420–450 US$ already gone from your budget.

So spend more money or cross out that 4K from your list.
