Soft tubing warps over time.

I use some soft PVC tubing for my custom loop.  It has ran about 2 years for no problem, but today, it kind of looked like one of the tubes was going to slip out of its compression fitting.  It turns out that the soft PVC tubing has warped, under temperature and stress and the compression fitting, doesn't quite have the same "bite" on the tubing as it did before.

I know, that a custom loop needs constant care, but I don't have so much time anymore.  I was thinking of switching to all barbs and silicone tubes.

Anyone ever come across a similar situation?

Well you'll notice that a car doesn't use soft pvc tubing a whole lot in it's cooling system either.

And yeah if you want less maintinence switch back to air. Otherwise yeah running low quality tubing and ignoring it will definitely cause what you're seeing.

Well it isn’t made to last for ever. Happened quicker with certain coolants I’ve just noticed. Naturally absorbs fluid anyway.
