DirectX 12

Why are there so few games that actually support Direct x 12 and most of them don´t even show a performance improvement over 11?

It is supposed to use the GPU more efficiently but there isn´t any difference in FPS.

Is it more a future thing?

Developers are still likely learning the API, or still creating game engines to work with it effectively. 

 

I haven’t worked with it, nor do I know anyone that has told me their experience so I cannot say if it’s difficult. Even in relation to older api.
