Hello,

I was looking for good radiator fans for 140mm radiators, and I saw these: Link Anybody believe the specifications? I did not really after comparing it to noctua NF-A14 which have a static pressure of 1.5 mmH2O, at 19 decibels, and move 68 CFM. The Cougars have a static pressure of 1.4 mmH2O, at 18 decibels, and move 73 CFM.

Thanks for any responses,

Keith

Have not had any experience with Couger fans myslef but i can throw another name in there for you as added choice.

Noiseblocker blacksilent pro pk series. Comes in 3 rpm ranges 700/1200/1700.

I run a 1700 for my front radiator and it does the job well. Not silent but not to say its loud either and shifts good amount of air.

The other fans I was looking at was the noiseblocker pk-ps, becuase it is PWM, but the 1700 RPM one is better in static pressure, airflow, and noise. Not sure how easy it is to control speed with a 3pin fan. I really like the fan xpert that comes with asus motherboards, but not sure blue/black fits the colors of the build.

Best fans I've used are the gentle typhoons 1800rpm version only thing is I don't like the colour of them I was looking at the new cougar dual x to replace all the fans in my case as they are the best looking green led fans I've seen.

If you buy them tell me how they perform as radiator fans.

You always need to take stated fan specs with a grain a salt. I tend to trust Noctua and Corsair, as I have seen various independent tests with a bunch of their fans and they are always close to spec. Others though can fall down a bit when not tested under the manufacturers "ideal" environment. I think we saw this a bit in Linus's fan testing. So - the Cougar's do look good - but would have to wait until we see some independent testing on them.
