My GPU used to run between 45 - 50C under load, now it's at 82C, and iCan't figure out why.

iHave a 240 rad with two fans for exhaust, and a 360 rad with six fans for intake.

My GPU is a Aorus 1080 Extreme Edition that is using a hollowed out AIO pump top for a water block, with Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal as the thermal compound.

The GPU was over clocked until temps rose to 65C. iPut the card back at factory clock speeds, and the temps keep going up. At 4:00 PM (16:00) it was at 77C, now it is at 82C under load.

I'm using MSI After Burner to monitor the temps.

iDon't know why the temps won't level out and stay constant like they used to.

When looking at the pump, fittings, water blocks and rads everything look fine. there's no leaks, or evidence of anything building up in the system, or tight bends or kinks that prevent good flow.

The only thing iCan think to do is check the graphics card to see if iHave to re-apply the liquid metal, other than that, iDon't know what else to do to re-gain the stable temps iHad before while under load.

I wouldn't advise conductive compounds on a GPU, but moving on...

Check that thermal paste was applied properly.

Check that there is good mounting pressure.

Make sure the pump is running.

Keep in mind those blocks are designed for CPUs. removing the jetplate (if it has one) might actually help. may as well try it out if applicable.
