My bad again, it says it need 2 hours to run before the hash rate is accurate.

Be sure to quote me if it won't fix itself so that i'll get a notification :) Good luck!

Also you can already see your unpaid balance building up :)

I just started mining and I don't really know too much about the whole set up thing. How do I tell my mining address thingy? I'm using geth and ethminer.

Well in order to receive your mining reward, you needed to write your public address in the pool or in the miner that you're mining with lol. AFAIK you can't even mine without inputing your address.

If you haven't yet generated a ETH address, you need to do so. You can use online wallets or generate one locally (offline is the safest option) and save your private key/seed somewhere. Check out MyEtherWallet, blockchain.info etc etc etc

I am mining, I just didn't copy down my address. I don't know how to find it again.

Well close your miner and check your configuration .... If you're using a CLI miner, check your arguments to see what address you have listed or if you're mining in a pool, check it there

Create a wallet with a wallet software like Jaxx  or Exodus ... write down those keys somewhere safe.  Put that wallet address in the mining software and start mining.

The pool's website should have a status page where you see your progress, how much you mined.  You'll get paid when you reach some threshold, 0.01 ETH or something like that.

You aren't paid per a second of your mining. You're going to be paid when you reach the limit that's written somewhere. My miner has it set to 0.1 ETH so untill my miner minest 0.1 Eth, it won't be paid to my address.

I understand that I am paid on a limit. My issue is that it says that I have contributed nothing when I have been mining for 2ish days.

Well in that case you screwed something up. I'm mining here and i can track my miner's performance by the minute. Try to read what you're going into next time instead of doing random things which you don't understand and adjust your parameters accordingly. Read about Ethereum and how it works and how your wallet works. If i were you, since you don't have any coins yet, i'd create a brand new one from an offline computer in case you pasted your private key somewhere.

I understand how it works and all that and I did do my research. I have figured out my issue; I was using an decrepitated version of ethminer xD I think I have everything working now. If I'm missing anything I would appreciate any help:

I have geth setup

geth --rpc

then I run a bat file with this:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 200 -G -S us1.ethermine.org:4444 -FS us2.ethermine.org:4444 -O 11f4d22bd6b9d1285d722569c5c5e6992d82d6ea.calpc

And everything start going.

Only thing is over here:

https://ethermine.org/miners/11f4d22bd6b9d1285d722569c5c5e6992d82d6ea

I'm not seeing anything happen.

I must have screwed up, I just got no clue where.

It's working. Check the miner page again - you can see your miner is working with 2.2MH/s. If that is correct, i can tell you straight away that you won't be making much profit with that kind of hash-rate. Cards that go for 300-350€ have hashrates of 20-25MH/s, and it takes them like 10 months to reach return of investment. It took my 350€ MSI armor rx580 8gb which cost me 350€ 6 months to reach ROI, and i had luck since the price jumped at that point.

I'm happy I could help. I just don't want people to lose money for lame reasons so i recommend everyone to read their stuff before jumping into the crypto-hype. Monitor the miner to see if it's generating any income - you will see the "Unpaid balance" grow after it will be mining for some time

I noticed the 2.2 MH rate, locally it says I'm pulling 18 MH for my 1060 (should be able to bring that up to the 20-25 range) . . . I'm going to let it run for a bit and see if its just a glitch in the site else something is seriously wrong.
