Underpaid by ethermine?

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

It's they payout policy.

Yes, you can set the payout to whatever minimum amount you want.

HOWEVER:

IF you didn't reach that minimum payout within 7 days (168 hours), they automatically pay you what you mined so far, as long as you did at least 0.01 ETH.

OR, as soon as you reach 0.01 ETH, they do the payout if the number of hours is higher than 168 (7 days).

They paid you 0.010003572621854 ETH , which is probably your balance after 168 hours of mining, give or take  half an hour or so (they do payments several times an hour)

They modified their policy after Nicehash got hacked, and miners lost money they kept there for weeks, to avoid transaction fees and payout fees.

Now, worst case scenario, if Etheremine gets hacked, you'll lose only a week's worth of mining or less than 0.01 ETH.

Note, you can check on ethermine at any time how you're doing, just go to /miners/[wallet address]  in your case : https://ethermine.org/miners/a68D1b3f030Fe72bD64318c031120A2ab977a2F1

You have 0.00026 ETH unpaid balance and if you click on Payouts / Rounds you can see they paid you once on the 21st at 17:27 an amount of 0.01 ETH

So I just started mining Ether on my personal rig- not for profit, I don't make a profit, just for fun and to get some cryptocurrency.

I set up ethminer and joined the ethermine pool. I set my min payout to 0.05 ETH, which at the time I was paid was around $50 USD.

After a week or so, I got the ether- I can see the transaction on my wallet provider. However, it was for only $10, and my payout progress was reset.

The pool fee is only 1%, and the transaction fee was about $0.20.

My address is 0xa68D1b3f030Fe72bD64318c031120A2ab977a2F1, can anyone help me out here?

it's time

I have actually been noticing that they sometimes pay you out even though you haven't reached the min payout yet, but I don't mine enough anymore to really notice it well enough. I'll keep an eye on it to see if it happens again, might just be a bug.

I knew about the transactions, but not the one week thing. Thanks, that solves my problem!
