Help with onboard Audio

DrBonesMcCoy

I am currently using a G35 (USB headset) but my motherboard, a Maximus X Hero (z370) has a built in dac and amp I believe. Is it possible an audio jack to usb adapter would see an improvement in sound or am I better going with a Sennheiser game zero headset which uses audio jacks? Thanks

To add, headset recommendations are appreciated. Preferably closed back with a mic and stereo as I play games like PUBG and R6S.

As for your first question: no, the G35 has an inbuilt "soundcard" and acts like one. The USB is just the data interface and wont accept an analog signal :D

Ok. Would I be better off getting a GAME ZERO? When using the mic on my G35 there is an annoying high pitched noise. Would I see better sound with another headset like the one I mentioned?
