I'm actually done with Ryzen right now, I have tried every single possibility of trouble shooting and I cannot find what the reason for this stuttering is. Every time I THINK I have a solution, it ends up giving me false hope.

List of things I've done:

1. Rebuild computer.

2. Re-install windows.

3. Re-install windows on different boot devices.

4. Buying a new mother board, (This actually reduced stuttering slightly.)

5. Updated AM4 chipset drivers.

6. Updated BIOS.

7. Used Prime 95. (Roughly 2 to 3 hours)

8. Took out one stick of Ram to test each stick and slot individually.

I'm going to Intel. This is not worth my time.

Watch that for video vvvvvvv

Which Ryzen are you using?

What is your full spec sheet -  Ram type, speed, manufacturer?  GPU?  HDD/SSD's?  Gaming Peripherals (USB headsets / DACs)? Is your copy of windows legit or cracked?

Does this stuttering occur when you are not recording / streaming?  What recording/streaming software are you using?

I'd laugh my rear end off if you purchased a new Intel CPU and mainboard just to find you had the same issue because you didn't look at other attached devices as a potential vector for your issues.

Windows is genuine, Corsair Strafe RGB (I don't have the Corsair utility installed, I've heard it hindered performance so I stayed away. Also i was using a differnt keyboard before and it was doing the same thing. Hyper X Revolver.

The stuttering occurs Mainly in league its most noticeable. Osu will freeze rarely on song selection but not in gameplay (thank god) main games I play typically.

I don't use an USB audio device, just ones that plug into the back of the comptuer green and pink holes.

Also with the graphics card, I've used it in another computer, because I ordered this part long before I decided to buy all the new parts.

Also a thing i forgot to mention is that sometimes videos on YT will also stutter. It's not common but it still happens. Liek just now I watched a linus video of a corsair logo zooming in and it skipped a few frames.

Have you tried with your RAM not overclocked?  Is your CPU overclocked (manual or auto)?  Is the EXACT RAM model number listed in the QVL memory list for the motherboard?

I'd bet on an Overclock or RAM incompatiility issue first.  Next, I'd look at the SSD (try running health check in Crystal Disk Info).

I've only OC'd the RAM about a month ago and it's been stuttering ever since I built it, I thought that would fix the problem but it didn't and I didn't bother changing it back.

I've bought this ram, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MMLUYQK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

As for the health of the drives they're all fine except for the 500Gb HDD, although I don't really care much for that drive it's almost 9 years old or so.

What is the issue with the 500gb drive?

Is Windows managing your virtual memory automatically?  If so, It may be a fault with Windows trying to use a paging file on that drive.  Have you tried running the games with that drive disconnected?

Wait there is RAM that just doesn't work completely with Ryzen????

That is blowing my mind. I have a repuatible computer repair shop near me, I'll go there and see if they have any of those ram selections. I'll keep you posted about it.

RAM compatibility is up to the motherboard manufacturer.  They put out a list like I posted above for every motherboard.  This is RAM that was tested with the board and guaranteed to not cause issues.  It is not a Ryzen specific thing.  Intel boards all have RAM compatibility lists as well.

Ryzen does seem to be more picky about non QVL'd ram than Intel, but you should always use the QVL when purchasing parts :)

There's nothing really important on that drive. Unless if you think it's making the stuttering issues. If it dies, it won't really be an inconvenience.

Windows allocates virtual memory (Swap Files) on pretty much all drives by default.

If it's loading background processes onto a failing drive's Swapfile, it can definitely cause issues.

It's easy enough to test, just unplug the drive and see if performance improves.
