Is python a good started language?

I'd say that the most important thing when choosing your first language is what you'll be doing.

Web development?

HTML5/CSS/JavaScript is what you want.

 

Wanna program to help with scientific research? A lot of people would argue that python is the way to go.

 

Apps for iPhones and Androids?

Swift / Java respectivly would probably be the best.

 

So figure out what you want to do before chosing a language! :-)

Python is more popular. Lisp is good but no one really uses it anymore for AI when you have stuff like TensorFlow.

Sorry, but "nobody uses it" is the worst possible reason to not use a superior software.

I agree. The only time is if it doesn't have support for something your really need.
