RAM Upgrade Question

If you can, I would recommend getting 2x8Gb so you can add that to your current RAM and end up with 24Gb instead of just 16GB(more is better, right?)

Yea, but the thing is that i have to give the seller my old ones and add some cash to buy new ones, in this case either two RAMs i have provided up, I'm as well little hesitating in the upgrading of RAM, the fact is that , i only use my PC to game mostly, or watch a movie etc, but i have gtx 1080 ti and with the combination of that factor , i was thinking of upgrading the RAM, but truly say Idk about it .

ram is ram, just dont buy unknown brands are you will be ok.

You do not mention money.

If you add another 2x4GB and keep your old you will be maxed out at 16GB.

If you go 2x8GB=16GB and taking up 2 slots. What do you do with the old 2x4GB of ram?

Can you use it with your 2x8GB=16GB of ram, be easy to find out wouldnt it. You'd have 24GB of ram.

But if you had to trade it with the fella, then you have to do it. If not dont.

I was thinking just adding 2x4GB ram instead of trading for 4x4gb kit, but someone on this forum i think told me that they may not work together in case of RAM mixing thing.

The Price is same if i give them my old 2x4GB ram and they give me 4x4GB ram, its 51$ extra i have to pay including my old RAM slots, and if i buy 2x8GB ram to add on my existing RAM to make it 24gb i have to pay 98$
