so i have a pretty decent rig:

ryzen 7 1700x

b350 pc mate

corsair 16gb

EVGA 1070 sc

and was wondering if for mining if i should get another 1070 sc ( if that even works ) or get a seperate rig (3x 1060 3gb)

the extra card would be strictly for mining, i already know sli will not work, just want dont want to have to buy a whole new rig just for mining when i could just buy a new card and maybe power supply

thoughts?

edit: not sure if i can even use another 1070?!?

Nvidia has just recently instructed re-sellers to not sell GeForce GTX GPUs to miners.

So if I were you i'd just stick to gaming.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

If you want to mine, you have to decide what your plan is. If one 1070 or 2x1060 is best your your goals will be up to you. If you have a good 550w PSU you can probably get away with the 2nd 1070 in existing system. Just be aware two cards running flat out in one system can get pretty warm, so think about your case cooling.
