Boom Arm Mount

I am hoping to sell my old pc to my friend who doesnt have a stand alone mic. Im going to sell my blue snowball to him as well but i want to keep my boom arm and buy a blue yeti with the money i get from the pc. My only concern is will i have to get a new mount for the yeti. Currently i have a blue snowball on a neewer boom arm. I currently just have the blue snowball screwed into the the 1/4 inch post with an adapter. I can obviously tell that the blue yeti has a different mounting point. Ive seen youtubers and twitch streamers with a shock mount and a blue yeti. I am just wondering if i need to get this mount or if there is a different mount i need. (I know the mic has a stand but i dont want the mic on my desk because i dont have much room.)
