So I'm making a "Nerf gun" game.

 

I am using the name "Nerf" in the title but not the logo at all. All the guns/assets of the game are created from scratch and have no logos and aren't exact replicas of the real guns.

 

Does this count as copyright infringement? As like violating copyright IP laws?

You'd need to call it by its generic name, like foam darts toys or something like that.
Otherwise you are infringing on the Nerf trademark.
