SSD speed

I have a sandisk ssd plus 240gb ssd and I was expecting fast boot times, however it takes 25 seconds after I push the power button on my system to land on the lock screen. I also randomly get instances while playing games where the disk usage spikes to 100% and if I am playing the audio stops, and if it is loading the loading screen never ends. This can't be normal but I don't know what is wrong.

Boot times off an SSD need to start after POST, not from the moment you power the computer on. Storage does not affect how fast the computer completes POST.

 

As far as the disk usage is concerned, if the OS itself doesn't lock up, you can see what's causing the disk usage spike by opening up Resource Manager from Task Manager.
