Good Headset for PC and Xbox One

Steven9595

Hey all,

I'm looking for some recommendations for a new headset that I can use on both my PC and my Xbox One. I'm torn between wired and wireless at the moment, because wired has so many options but I kind of want wireless because it's wireless, but the options don't seem that great. I want to spend less than $200, which I know limits my wireless options quite a bit, but I look forward to your recommendations!

Thanks!

Yeah I was looking at the Arctis 7, I just don't like that they're closed back.

All gaming headsets are closed back with very very few exceptions.

If i were you, i would go for a headphone + vmoda boompro, something along the lines of philips SHP9500 + vmoda boompro. Best gaming headset you can find in $100 category. Open back, good soundstage and imaging, but these are treble intensive so bass might be lacking for some people but for FPS games, the combo is very good.

I'm currently watching the Z Review on the SHP9500's, they look incredible. I'm hoping they really outperform my ATH-PDG1's :)

I never tried that headset, but i do have a good feeling it will be better.

But if you already own that headset, why get a new one? Is it spoiled or something?

The boom mic stopped working, so I've been using the smartphone in-line mic cable and it's garbage.

Is the cable detachable? If yes, most probably Audio Technica is selling spares for the boom mic..
