I am using core i5 3470 3.2, 8gb corsair ram and gigabyte ga z77 hd3 as motherboard and a 1080p monitor. i am not planning to play 3 monitor gaming or more than 1080p monitor. i am using a single monitor.

So please give me the best choice you can think.

Note: i think my motherboard doesn't support SLI but it support AMD corssfire technology.

Thanks in advance.

OP, all Z77 motherboards support Nvidia and AMD. So if you can do Crossfire on your board, you can also do SLI on your board, which means that you have a wider range of GPU's to select from. If that is the rout you are going.

Oh snap, thanks windspeed36 for catching that, honestly I did not know that, Is that the only Z77 motherboard that does not support SLI or is there others? LOL I just watched the unboxing of it on newegg and even Paul thought it did SLI as well.

Depends on your budget. Here's a link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107.html Find your budget and decide. If I'm the one buying here's on my list:

AMD: 7970/7950 Ghz edition

Nvidia: GTX 680/670

If your planning on multi-gpu watch reviews about frame rating first. Its the new standard for measuring frames disregard all you know about fraps. You will see the stability when running crossfire or sli.

and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gFxi307MV4 Either way both companies are Great.

The requirement for SLI support is that you have a minimum of two PCIe slots that split at worst 8x/8x. The motherboard in question does 16x/4x so it does not meet the requirement.
