Hey all,

The rental house I have right now is apparently a dust factory and I cant stand it. My Corsair 270R has no true dust filters other than the one for the PSU. Can anyone lead me in the right directions for some proper or makeshift dust filters for this case? I would love to upgrade my case to something nicer, but I should use that money for components for my next build. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Side note: I'm very capable when it comes to hands on projects, so I should feel comfortable with whatever you come up with as a solution.

Thanks!

You could look at stuff like this (Fan Filters / Grills) or (PC Clean) on ModDIY. I'd recommend buying a large sheet and cutting it down to what you need.

I'd also plan out what you'd need beforehand so you don't waste money.

ModDIY shipping times are slow. You could also just search on Amazon, but it may cost a bit more.

Demcifilter also sells filters for specific cases, but it seems like they only have a top filter for the 270R. (They're also expensive as hell)

Edit: Newegg also has some alternatives. Yet again, trading a bit more money for faster shipping times

*Note: There are 5mm thick fan filters like this that people often buy accidently. Most people don't like 'em.

Instead, some thinner (1mm or so) filters are better for most such as this. Just do research before hand and you'll be fine.

Fan Comparisons          F@H          PCPartPicker         Analysis of Market Trends (Coming soon? Never? Who knows!)

Designing a mITX case. Working on aluminum prototypes.

Open for intern / part-time. Good at maths, CAD and airflow stuff. Dabbled with Python.

Thats a good step in the right direction thank you, is there a certain type of generic "mesh" that I can search around for. Other than branded ones like on ModDIY.

Some of those filters look like polyurethane and others PVC meshes. In the past, I've had tons of trouble trying to find PVC mesh filter sheets, but I haven't tried recently.
