Soundbar + TV + PC

Hi guys. How do you connect a soundbar to a tv that is connected to a PC?

 

Basically  have a PC connected to a smart TV via HDMI 4K @60fps. And i just bought a soundbar and followed the instructions and connected the soundbar to the smart tv using hdmi via the ARC. I also have another HDMI cable connecting the PC to the non-ARC hdmi slot on the soundbar. But there is no sound. Please let me know if this is the correct connection.

have you tried looking at the settings on the TV. it may be set on TV speakers only

did you get sound out of the TV speakers?

Yes I have tried the tv settings and it only lets me select Audio from "TV Speakers" or "Optical" which i know is not the optical as i didn't plug in the optical wire. 

Yes there is sound from the TV speakers.

So there is nothing wrong with the flow of my cable connection? So probably a software or setting issue...I have read somewhere that I have to turn on the PC, then the TV and soundbar to get them to "sync". Have tried that and still no sound and TV still doesnt recognise the soundbar ie. doesnt allow me to change the Audio to the soundbar in the settings...
