I have a friend that wants me to put together a decent gaming PC for his son. I've got all of the other parts picked out, but I'm a little stuck on the power supply. My initial thought was the EVGA 450BT, or the Cooler Master Masterwatt Lite 500w, but I've seen some mixed reviews. I've got a Microcenter near me, so I'm also considering their PowerSpec 550w. My friend is on a fairly tight budget, and I don't want to screw him over. Anyone have any thoughts?

If you can find a Corsair CX550M at a decent price, I would go for that. If not, EVGA 500B will get the job done(although it's not as reliable as the CX550M).

deal with the rebates and get this instead, both those units aren't good.

^^^ Can recommend, good unit, even if it isn't with rebates it's still $55 for 550W
