So I Started to look for a good air flow case that would also cover my future OC (and evidently water cooling) needs. Thermaltake Core P5 was the first thing that caught my eye. (The eye candy effect just grabbed me)

Just for the sake of having alternative options, I also considered the H500p but read some ill articles about how it was overhyped and may be (or will be) updated in the near future so I converted back to Thermaltake Core P5.

I currently use a corsair h80 v2 to cool my cpu (8700k) - [I know it's not enough but the clerk ****** me over during the purchase since I was unaware that the 8700k came without a stock cooler and was utterly unprepared to choose and purchase one.]

The question is;

Will Core p5 be sufficient to provide adequate cooling for a 1080ti/8700k combination? (Please consider future OC needs)

How bout dust gathering in the system?

If you run an overclock daily you may want to delid that CPU

but ya I'd be worried about dust with that case

Coolermaster just announced mesh versions of the H500P that will actually be decent looks like

your system is ATX?

The Silverstone RL06 Pro has great airflow out of the box

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

These open air cases do gather dust a lot quicker than a standard case, however they are much easier to clean, so perhaps this negates it.

I don't think there are any fan mounts on the case, so you won't be able to channel airflow to the graphics card. But the case is so open It won't need it.

So apparently if the case is open, cooling shall not be an issue at all ?

Yep, it's atx.

Unfortunately I don't want to wait until the new release of the cooler master because;

a- i like to -extensively- read reviews and ask questions before a purchase which will obviously increase the time before a purchase and

b- I'm currently unable to fully close my current chassis (Silencio 650) due to low airflow and heating problems.

As for the silverstone, it's way more affordable than the core p5 (even so that i may consider purchasing another ssd with the remaining budget) but it's just another "chassis" which does not "wow" me. :)

So what do you think about the fanless airflow capability of the core p5? Will it suffice?

The P3 should be the same for thermals, but ya I'd never get one due to dust.
