PSU Replacement Needed

Good Morning All,

A cheap desktop I have I believe has a defective power supply, crashes once in a while, power shut off if you bang the desk just right. I wiggled the power cord and the outlet in the psu unit seems loose.

Any suggestions for a replacement psu.

I think it shorted my last video card, put a new one in there Not sure How to check the MB for damage ( is there a self test i can run ? )

CPU G3240 @ 3.1GHz

Is there no warranty on it..... Don’t pre Biults have warentys?

have you tried a different power cable for your PSU

If it's a cyberpowerpc, send it back to them if it's under warranty. If not, go for one from a reputable brand like EVGA or Corsair.

All brands are equally capable of selling crap. EVGA has a whole lot of them, and Corsair has the VS and old CX/M

If you have a warranty, RMA it. If not, get a Pure Power 10 400W, CX/M 450W, or Vengeance 400W, depending on what's cheapest.
