Which processor to choose

I have this old oem samsung machine with me which have a i3 550 cpu. I currently have $30 with me and i hope to upgrade it to a x3440 which goes around $23 used.

I want to know if the cpu will be compatible with my PC .

Thanks.

PS. I'll upload my spec sheet from speccy.

@firelighter487 If you are talking about "R3HB7-X6HMH-F48J3-8XJVP-9QBP9", I doubt that would be an issue. Just do a google search on that serial. I've got multiple hits on that one.
