Time correct counter strike source build.

I want to build a time correct (2004/2005) build for counter strike source. i know csgo is mainly cpu bound but is css? i would like to go intel for the cpu but i don't know what came out when. any suggestions on cpus and gpus?

Look for a Pentium 4 HT 3.2GHz (socket 478), or a Pentium 4 540J (yes, LGA775 came out around then with SATA+PCIe). Then look at the Geforce 6000 series.

NP. BTW, if you do look at getting anything from the Geforce 6000 series, avoid TC or Turbo Cache models like the plague-they are awful with only 16-64MB dedicated vRAM, and the rest all system
