I always recommend refurbished laptops if you're not willing to spend much, you can find very good business machines on ebay at very low prices. In particular, I suggest you look for something that has an ssd and an ips screen (to avoid burning your eyes on an awful screen). Thinkpads are almost always pretty great but dell and others also make some good laptops.

The laptop you mentioned would be enough, as in it would do everything you need, but the usage experience wouldn't be very good.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I've been rocking a Lenovo G50-80 as my work laptop for a couple of years now; I bought it for €500 when I couldn't really afford much else, and after sticking in an old first-gen SSD that I paid way too much for about 8 years ago it works fine with a few unforeseen caveats: the display resolution does get frustrating if you're using it a lot so if you won't be using an external monitor then at least get a 1080p laptop. 8GB is enough for me, but I use Linux. If you are using Windows you might want to go for a 16GB model if you tend to have a lot of apps open. I have 32GB in my desktop which allows me to have lots of virtual machines open so I can be running tests on one or more projects whilst working on another.
