Is my CPU bottlenecking my GPU

I use my PC mostly for games, and recently i just upgraded my GPU from 1050ti to 1060,

huge performance increase in most games but in few cases like AC origin for example, the game stutters a lot

and CPU load is on 100% almost all the time, i wonder if my cpu bottlenecks my GPU or is it my 8GB ram?

 

Specs:

i5-4670

8GB DDR3

GTX 1060 6GB

AC Origin is due to that crappy copy protection... Well known and criticized all over the gaming sites... Even here... Luke said something about AC origin running like crap on his mean machine at home.

 

Else your system should be fine and the biggest bottleneck in that case would have been this post...

What cpu do you have? I remember when it came out everyone was pissed that on i5 the performance was very bad, but on i7 it was good. I play that game on ryzen 7 myself, and i have about 80 percent cpu usage on all 16 threads.

I have an AMD Athlon x4 860K at 4.0Ghz

Yep... there are two combined which don't work together well but are both active at the same time... 50% of the CPU usage of AC Origin is due to that crap.

ok is that a huge leap from i5-6600k (in price and performance), and ram speed on 2100 good?

Do not use this website. It seems to use a single indicator for CPU performance, which means it doesn't differentiate between single-core, quad-core, and overall performance. Just look at this bullshit, it only cares about multi-threaded performance.

Just saying but those sites are crap. You can't generalize a single number to the amount of bottleneck you'll get in every single game in existence at every single setting. Not to mention, what does "9% bottleneck" even mean?

It's better than a 6600k and way cheaper since you won't need new ram and mobo
