IDE/Pata Server

Hi.

I have a few extra IDE/pata disks and I want to know which server/nas operating system supports IDE/Pata disks.

I tried xpenology 6.1 (I have this on my main server) and it didnt detect them. I guess unRaid doesnt support them also.

It would be great if it could put them in some kind of raid like raid5 or SHR(synology hibrid raid).

I don't see why FreeNAS wouldn't allow you to use IDE/PATA drives. Have you tried it?

Wouldn't go UnRAID. You'd be spending money to setup RAID on old-ass harddisks. FreeNAS should work with them, and if the latest doesn't work, the 9.x release should.
