Hey there guys , hope someone can help me get down to the bottom of this problem!

My pc has been fine and dandy the past few weeks , no issues whatsoever. Suddenly today though I opened up a game of overwatch and within about 15-20 mins, my PC just completely shut down.

At first i thought i had a power cut , but no. So i opened it the case up and it felt very hot (never had this issue before) , I managed to get it to boot up again after around 3-4 minutes of letting it cool down.

I can run the computer , but the moment i start anything taxing (like overwatch) , it just shuts down.

I checked the temperatures using 2 different programs , "Speed fan" and  "speccy" and these readings are taken from the first few seconds of me booting up the PC (after it shut itself down)

TLDR : I have no idea what is overheating or why , could anyone please point me in the direction of what you think is casuing the problem (based on these readings) thanks.

P.S My CPU is watercooled. all 5 fans seem to be running as normal , but the fan on the CPU cooler seems like its not running as fast as the others.

Idle temp's dont really help. Download HWMonitor ( lets you see all temps and clocks so you can see if your cpu throtles ) and cpu and gpu burners

Run one at time for few minutes and then check the temps.

Change thermal paste on the CPU, 50C seems high for watercooling at idle

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I've downloaded it , but heres the thing that worries me. I'm currently idling and my GPU had reached 50 degrees? thats abnormally hot id say for a computer running nothing.

980ti currently running at 56c in a shitty case, and WoT on the back ground. Also im pretty sure the fan only starts running in this once it hits 60c.

If it starts to rise in the burner even when its throttling, then i would start worrying

okay so is there a way i can increase my watercooler fan speed? i think its running a little on the slow side (not sure if it always was like this)

Assuming its a regular 4pin cpu fan, you can make a custom tempature curve for it. I havent done it before so ive got no clue how to do it, but speedfan can do it

okay so adjusting my fans did help (somewhat) but the problem is still persisting , im not sure what the heck is actually overheating here.

Here is a screenshot of my computer temps whilst running hearthstone (i didnt want to run anything more taxing, due to it shutting off the PC and damaging components)

As you can see the CPU heat climbs quite high , along with the motherboard.

Is this just a simple matter of adding new cooling paste? or is there something else at work here?
