Running gtx 1070ti as main gpu and 660ti as second gpu with a total of 6 monitors (1 as a tv 32in 1080p nothing fancy).

Whilst chrome is on and twitch stream idle temps for 1070ti is 57c and 660ti is 62c. (not sure if its a overheating problem as i noticed the system froze whilst both cards were only in the 70's celius).

Clock speeds with chrome/twitch are 1600ish  for 1070ti and 915ish for 660ti according to HWMonitor.

I've tried running 3 monitors on each card and 4 on 1 and 2 on the other with the same result. It tends to freeze up when the gtx 1070 is under stress for example when gaming. I usually like to have a twitch stream on when I game which was always possible with just the 1070ti installed however now with the 2nd gpu I can only believe the 660ti is causing the system to freeze and im not sure why. When the freeze happens it also gives me a warning of sorts where my fps will be at like 120iss for example and then itll drop to below 30 fps and ill get extreme fps lag and strange enough my audio will start to cut in and out as well.

I've also tried dedicated phsyx on the 660ti on/off.

I've also updated to the latest nvidia driver it told me was available.

Lastly, I know the 660ti is working because I just recently upgraded to the 1070ti and the 660ti was working amazing... I just wanted to perform higher-end games so I upgraded but I was running decent games with 4 monitors before I upgraded.

Any suggestions? Let me know if you need more information.

Is your power supply able to supply enough stable current for both cards to operate at full load? It sounds like it might be having issues delivering enough current under load to both cards at once, causing the voltage to drop and hard lock one or both cards.

I just purchased Seasonic FOCUS Plus Series SSR-850FX 850W 80+ Gold. I thought that would've been enough but maybe not?

It should be more than enough, yeah. If you've run stress testing of both cards individually and are sure they are both fine, then I'm out of ideas... sorry.

Np, ty Tabs. :D

Should I leave phsyx off for sure then as I was unsure whether to have it on in the first place? I've tried both on/off and same result but I left it on for now cause I thought it would help lol.

I'm simply just wanting the 2nd gpu to run my 6 monitors as the 1070ti is more the powerful enough to run my games/streams.

Well, you can try to use DDU to uninstall the driver and then install the driver for the 1070ti.  Most likely the system is using a driver for the 660ti only.    Which could be your problem.  Or, your system just might not like running both which is one of many issues of running multiple cards.

I've tried doing clean install with the nvidia update but I'll try again with DDU hopefully it is a driver issue. I named my computer "Troublemaker" when I built it years ago... it still holds up to its name lol.

Problem with that is AMD and Nvidia usually leave traces installed.

I successfully used DDU and reinstalled the Nvidia driver. I did some light stress testing with Uniengine Heaven whilst having some chrome tabs and twitch open to simulate my daily gaming use and high performance. As of now no errors or freezes and I hope it keeps this way *fingers crossed*.

I'm not sure if I stressed it correctly but it seems to be ok at the moment lol.

I have 3 monitors on each again and dedicated PHSYX off in the nivida control panel.
